This band cut some nice Latin flavored numbers on Vogue in 1946-47. Contrary to some historians the big band era was not dead in 1946-47. It just wasn't as popular as it still was in 1945.

What cartridge did you use here? I am a bit surprised with the quality. When I first heard this in other uploaded videos I thought it was the effect of the noise filtering used that produced the steel-string guitar sound but watching this one here I realised that the sound was totally authentic.

My grandpa lived to 97 with a mind sharp as a tack… I remember when I was young I would sit on his decades old couch and listen to classic records. His hands didn’t work, his eyes were faded, but he never needed a hearing aid and we would listen to classic records like these in the living room… it was a beautiful memory. Thank you for this bringing it back into view

I can't tell who the singer is, but according to the Discography of American Historical Recordings, this song was recorded twice, once by Henry Burr and once by Bryon G. Harlan. I listened to Burr's audio example and I think his voice is a bit deeper than shown here, so it might be Harlan here, as there was no example on the site.
